George Carlin
George Carlin passed away yesterday at age 71. I remember seeing him on SNL back in the day, when it was still a funny show. He came to my college and on all of the posters and every article it warned that there would be foul language, but I guess too many parents associated him with Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends and decided to bring their kids. Of course in the next school paper there were all kinds of editorials about how they should have been warned. I think the editor actually added in a statement about how they were warned. I wonder if George knew about the stir he caused. If he did, I’ll bet he found it funny.
